It's sad to think that a beautiful girl that God created wasn't happy with the beauty that He gave her. Was it the fame that changed her mind, society, or what?!
Wow. That is sort of sad. But what makes me sad is that fact that she thought she needed that to be pretty. I don't judge her for getting so disperportioned under the knife by putting hot air balloon sized implants in her boobs. But I do think that the world has created this interesting ideal image as a model for women to look like. I think we need to put the correct model back into the world by ignoring this attempt in the media. Correct by wearing different clothing. Correct by caring for these women and reminding those around us what it means to have true beauty. And this group is WONDERFUL at doing that. A+
We are Christians and I don't believe we should be talking about what makes a person valuable or invaluable based on their looks, self imposed or not.
Christ loves these young women as much as anyone else. What are we saying about ourselves by posting this picture and having a discussion on what means to us?
Looking at what is on the inside is what is valuable.
I love you all, especially you Mary. But I am not seeing the lesson here.
Teaching our daughters about body image starts at home. If parents aren't doing it, media will. We can talk all day about what is appealing to the eye, but Christ teaches us to look at peoples hearts.
I think we all do this in our own way. We wear make-up, we color our hair, we desire to lose weight, all in the name of looking (what we think is) better. We all change how we look. She simply chose to change her breasts. The issue really is WHY do we change how we look. I think wearing make-up, losing weight, and wearing nice things can be a God-honoring thing. For some people, getting breast implants can be a God honoring thing (i know a couple of Christians who have done this for their husbands, or just to feel like they look more normal or better than they used to). God knows our hearts.
Girls Only Ministry is a ministry that is designed to focus on Girls Only between the ages of 13 and 23. As, I believe those are the hardest years in a young womans life and it is an important time in one's journey to know and love Sweet Jesus.
This is the place to talk about anything and everything that comes with being a girl and that comes with the decision to know, love and follow Jesus Christ.
sad... breast implants aren't what's needed... a HEART TRANSPLANT is!!!

I am saddened by this.
